Why am I being required to register each computer I use to access Online Banking?
Registering your computer enables The Commerce Bank of Washington to provide you with additional authentication and an enhanced login process. Once you have registered your computer, the system will remember both your computer and browser and mark your browser with a cookie and/or other browser-specific object.
Registering your computer makes it more difficult for unregistered computers to access to your online information, even if your Login ID and Password were accidentally or unintentionally compromised. For more detailed information on how to register your computer, click on the "Registering Your Computer" link within the Online Banking navigation panel.

I registered my computer during a previous login, but the system is asking me to register my computer again. Why?
There are several reasons this may happen, including:
- Your browser settings are set to delete cookies, or your browser cookie for Online Banking has been deleted since the last time you logged in.
- Your online profile is set to require a Secure Access Code delivery each time you log in.
- You are logging in via a different browser on the same registered computer. Each browser (i.e. Internet Explorer/Firefox/Safari) must be individually registered.
- All active registrations on the system were reset for security purposes.
-
How do I remove the registration from a computer that is no longer mine?
You can remove the registration of a computer/browser by deleting your cookies, or only the cookie related to our online site. Please see your browser help for assistance in deleting cookies.
-
How many computers can I authorize?
You can authorize up to 100 computers. If you exceed 100 authorizations, please contact Client Services at (206) 292-3900 for assistance.
-
Does the authorization expire?
The authorization will expire after one year. After one year you will be asked to register your computer again.
-
When will the change take place?
The Commerce Bank of Washington (TCBWA) will implement Browser Activation on June 25 starting at 8:30 PM.
-
If I experience trouble registering my computer, how do I get support?

I have a Symantec token for authorizing transactions; can I use this to register my computer?
No, the tokens are only valid for transactions. You will need a voice number or mobile number in order to receive a Secure Access Code.
